Milan, Feb. 13, 2025 – Spada Media Group has obtained the Gender Equality Certification, an important recognition of the actions taken by the company to promote equity and ensure the enhancement of talent in an increasingly inclusive work environment.
Awarded to the agency by the accredited body SGS, the UNI/Pdr 125:2022 certification was introduced by the Department of Equal Opportunity with the aim of enhancing organizations that adopt concrete policies and practices to ensure equal opportunities, valuing skills without gender bias and building a work environment that respects diversity. Six areas were evaluated in the certification process: culture and strategy, governance, HR processes, opportunities for women’s growth and inclusion, gender pay equity, parenting protection, and work-life balance.
“This recognition represents much more than an achievement: it is a confirmation of the corporate culture that is distinctive for our agency,” said Lara Ricciotti, CEO of Spada Media Group. “A certificate that underscores how valuing diversity and affirming one’s talents are part of our DNA, while also strengthening the sense of belonging to the company. As a woman leading an agency in an innovative and highly competitive industry such as ours, I believe that companies have a duty to be spokespeople for an equal and inclusive culture. This certification is not an end point for us, but a new starting point to continue building a better working environment for our team and our clients by becoming a virtuous example for our industry.”
Obtaining the certification is part of a broader path that Spada Media Group has been pursuing for years with projects dedicated to employee well-being, including welfare, wellbeing activities, training, parenting support and work-life balance.
This milestone is part of a still evolving context: according to the most recent data, there are 4,956 companies certified for UNI/PdR 125 in Italy, exceeding the initial expectations set by the NRP for companies certified by 2026. However, this result represents only 0.092 percent of the total number of active companies in Italy, confirming how much more distinctive it is for a company to obtain such recognition. Within the communications and marketing sector, the number of certified agencies remains extremely limited, thus placing Spada Media Group among the pioneers in this process of change and promotion of equality and inclusion.
This recognition is part of a path marked by sustainability in all its aspects and in particular a broader HR strategy of the agency, which for years has been committed to combining business results and social responsibility, promoting a positive impact in the work community and society.
To achieve the certification, Spada Media Group was advised by the Associated Law Firm LB, with the support of attorneys Benedetta Conter and Vanessa Amati, whom it thanks for their excellent support.
