Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci Airport is part of the Tuscan Airport System together with Pisa’s Airport and hosts both national and international flights.
The only terminal of the structure is small and spread over two floors. The main airlines are Vueling, Alitalia, KLM, Lufthansa, British Airways, Iberia and Air France. Among the busiest routes are large European cities such as Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
It registers nearly 3 million passengers annually, many of them foreigners (65%) that traveling mainly for leisure purposes with an age between 35 and 54.
Being a modest sized airport compared to other airports, it has some catering services and some shops where you can go shopping, however there is a lounge and a VIP service for exclusive access.
