Spada Media Group gives college students the opportunity to undertake an internship within the company to get involved in the working world and discover all the dynamics that take place within a communications agency.
The intern will be able to learn and develop skills across the board through shadowing the different teams operating in the agency. Depending on the type of internship that may be activated, e.g., in the area of graphic design, social media marketing, event organization and press office, etc., students will be able to acquire both technical skills (such as valuable lessons on social media management, secrets to effective press office work, organizing a distinctive event, and eye-catching graphics for outdoor advertising and on digital channels) and important soft skills, from the ability to work in a team to responsibility and autonomy in managing assigned projects.
The internship experience is the first step in facing future professional challenges. Spada Media Group is available to support the student on this path.

What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
During my training I developed technical and interpersonal skills, in particular, in managing relationships with suppliers, defining communication strategies, and problem solving in complex situations. I honed the ability to make effective presentations, both in content and in exposition. Press office experience has also enabled me to strengthen relationships with journalists and bloggers and identify editorial opportunities, valuing clients strategically.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
Among the various activities performed, I particularly enjoyed the phase of devising strategies and in defining media plans for clients. I was very involved in being able to think analytically and creatively to find tailored solutions, taking into account the objectives, budgets and characteristics of each project. In addition, I found the discussion with the team very stimulating: working together, exchanging ideas and points of view, was crucial for both my professional and personal growth.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
During this journey, I discovered how much agency work requires great adaptability, time management skills, and speed in finding concrete solutions. Before, I had not imagined how central teamwork is: every decision, even the most operational one, comes from confrontation and collaboration. I also understood that behind every strategy or proposal to the client there is complex work, made up of analysis, research, and attention to detail. In particular, I understood the importance of balancing innovative ideas with the real needs of the client.
Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?
Through this experience, I have become more aware of my abilities. While I do not yet have a definitive vision of my professional future, this path has helped me to more clearly delineate the direction I wish to take. I aspire to become a professional capable of combining creativity and strategic vision, able to analyze situations lucidly and identify the most effective solutions, reconciling the needs of all stakeholders.
What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
During the internship, I improved my skills in managing digital advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google and Meta. I learned targeting, optimization and results analysis techniques, honing my skills in analyzing data and creating effective reports to optimize campaign performance.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
Managing digital campaigns for clients from different industries is definitely the activity I have enjoyed the most. Each project allowed me to face unique challenges and apply creative solutions to achieve the set goals. The constant shadowing of colleagues and the opportunity to engage with industry experts further enriched this experience.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
I learned that working in digital marketing requires not only technical skills, but also great adaptability and teamwork. The importance of collaboration and keeping abreast of new trends in the industry are key aspects of being successful.
Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?
The internship confirmed my interest in digital marketing and allowed me to understand how challenging it is to work in a dynamic agency environment. Through this experience, I gained more clarity on the professional direction I wish to take.
What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
The opportunity to work on different clients and talk to journalists and third parties implemented my communication and mediation skills; but also having been able to work closely with the Social, Digital and Account area teams made me realize the importance of team working and how crucial each element of the group is to the smooth running of a project and the achievement of a high level result.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
The experience I was most passionate about was the organization of an inauguration event for one of our clients, which made me understand the work behind an event and the importance of each member collaborating and contributing to the success of the event; also the digital editorial planning for our clients, meeting deadlines and fulfilling their requests, opened up a world to me about the Social area that I did not know before.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
The seriousness and routine of the working world frightened me at the beginning of this internship, as I had never done work in the communications and agency fields, so I was afraid that I would not be able to meet the commitments and deadlines of the work. However, I have found how a collaborative environment, with colleagues who inspire and support you, can make a difference in giving your best. In addition, I chose Spada as the agency where I would do the internship because I wanted a "small" but dynamic environment in which I could be followed and touch the different areas that coexist within the world of communication, to learn as much as possible from everything and everyone: and Spada confirmed all my expectations.
Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?
I joined Spada as an intern in the Press Office area, but my continued shadowing of Accounts and Social has opened new horizons for me about the job positions I would like to fill: a mediation and customer contact role or social planning and management.
What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
Despite the closures and limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the smart working internship experience allowed me to improve several skills, such as the ability to be able to better handle different tasks and different clients, with an eye on the most important deadlines. Interaction with colleagues was largely through digital, but I learned how important it is to maintain clear and proper communication with all team members.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
I was given the opportunity to interface with tasks that were different from each other, and I experienced them as experiences from which I could learn a lot. I particularly appreciated, in addition to traditional press office work, the opportunity to participate in the organization of some events, relating directly with clients and suppliers, working alongside colleagues, and observing the management of the event in its different stages.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
Above all, I discovered the importance of collaboration and clear communication among colleagues: in fact, by working as a team and giving each other operational plans to adhere to, one is able to facilitate and improve everyone's activities. Giving yourself deadlines is necessary, especially if you work from home and cannot constantly have direct contact with others.

This experience gave me a good overview of corporate roles and dynamics. Having had the opportunity to try different activities I think I have better focused my field of interest.

What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
During this training, I had the opportunity to see the development of projects at 360 degrees, starting from the client's brief to the complete implementation of the activity. Having been placed within the Account Department, I learned to best understand the needs of clients, relate in an empathetic way and manage a working group by enforcing the timelines established, giving the right priorities to different projects. In addition, I have had the opportunity to follow the organization of several events, increasing my organizational and problem solving skills.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
Of all the activities I was able to follow within Spada Media Group, the one that brought me the most satisfaction was the organization of Year-end party of a very important agency client. It was a job that involved the collaboration of multiple players during the course of months of planning and scheduling, culminating in the complete realization of an event with more than 400 people in attendance, excellent entertainment and a successful evening in the best possible way. In addition, I chose to develop my master's thesis on one of the projects I followed during my internship, an opportunity that allowed me to further deepen the activities I carried out, consolidate the skills I acquired, and add concrete value to my professional experience.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
Before starting the internship I had no idea of so many internal dynamics that exist within any structured company, and in particular the importance of coordination between different agency teams, without which the same results would not be achieved. A complete and successful project is such only because of collaboration and efficient communication between different professional figures both inside and outside the company.
Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?
During these months of internship in the role of Junior Account Manager, I was able to touch on projects involving different aspects of communication: events, press office, digital activities, media planning both traditional and online, social and creative proposals. Because of this, I have been able to understand how different teams work and what is behind a special project. I would like to continue specializing in Events or Project Management, managing a team and coordinating different professionals in a dynamic and creative environment.
What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
Through this experience, my skills in copy editing improved greatly. In addition, I learned how to structure a web page and how to conduct an effective press office service.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
Each task sparked my interest and desire to learn. Completing the press office project for a well-known multinational company, including participating in the final event, was truly inspiring. Of the same tenor was the project of revising and inserting the elements that make up a website page. Starting out by learning the basics is necessary to perform more complex tasks later.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
In this area of work, one must be in control at all times, and then operate in such a way as to achieve the right results. This approach allowed me to complete tasks independently and learn new working methodologies.
Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?
The training internship allows you to clarify your ideas about your future employment. In fact, thanks to this path, I confirmed my desire to pursue a career in a dynamic work environment interconnected with different sectors. Thus, it is possible to continuously learn new knowledge and broaden the mind.

What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
Through this experience I learned how to organize work, prioritizing the most important tasks with the closest deadlines. In addition, I also learned how to do a good press office service. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I did not have the opportunity to fully experience office life, but all colleagues were always very helpful to me and gave me lots of advice to improve my performance.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
Every task I was assigned I welcomed it as a chance to learn something new and grow professionally. I really appreciated the opportunity to translate the agency's website into English and the press office service done for a client. This last job allowed me to keep in touch and do interviews with some representatives of hospital facilities and with their respective press offices
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
Mainly I discovered the importance of knowing how to organize in order to meet certain deadlines-even tight deadlines-and still be able to do a good job. Then, most importantly, I realized how important it is to engage with colleagues and clients: the inability to meet in the office because of the pandemic forced me to interface with them almost exclusively through phone calls and video calls. As a result, I had to learn how to optimize these moments as best I could in order to learn as much as possible and be able to work independently without having to hear each other constantly interrupting each other's routines.
Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?
This experience helped me greatly to clarify my ideas about what kind of work I would like to do in the future. Working in this field is very challenging, as it allows you to work in an interconnected environment with other industries, enabling you to learn new knowledge all the time.
What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
Through this path I learned to organize my work, prioritizing the tasks that need more urgency. In addition, I learned how to manage stress and do teamwork.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
Participating in the Responsible Business event was the most inspiring experience for me. The event, held at the Region of Lombardy, allowed me to take a look at the corporate landscape-focusing on corporate social responsibility issues-and learn all the mechanisms needed to organize an event flawlessly. In addition, the opportunity to conduct online training courses was an essential opportunity to increase my knowledge of marketing and social media.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
As a result of the responsibilities I was given in carrying out certain tasks, I grew a lot professionally. In fact, during this period I learned of new working methodologies concerning especially the field of information technology.
Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?
I got confirmation that I was suited to working in a team and being in contact with other people. This was also thanks to the environment I was able to find in the agency, which was characterized by cohesion among team members. I hope in the future to find a similar environment to work in serenity.

Absolutely. The internship gave me a clear view of the internal dynamics of the agency and the division of roles among the various teams, helping me to better understand how different professionals integrate to achieve common goals. What skills have you learned and improved in this training?
Definitely working in an already established team helped me a lot to understand the pace of work and how important it is to help each other achieve a goal. I have learned that organization is essential to working optimally but that, should there be any hiccups, one should not panic but deal with problems rationally.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
All the activities I have done during my time within the agency have been, for me, opportunities for growth to better understand the world of work. I particularly appreciated that my colleagues trusted me from the start, giving me autonomy in managing different project activities, with their own final review. I also thank my colleagues because they have satisfied my every curiosity, coming alongside me and guiding me along this path: this has enabled me to understand many dynamics previously unknown to me.

I definitely understood how important it is to be able to work in a positive environment that helps develop one's abilities constructively, despite pressures dependent on external factors. What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
I strived to make the most of each task assigned to me, trying to use the experience of my colleagues to learn something from each of them. To be sure, there were some projects that were more enjoyable than others, but I quickly settled into the office and felt welcomed by my colleagues. I can say that the experience I enjoyed most was precisely the chance to get to know so many interesting people in one environment.

I discovered how critical efficient planning of daily work is to avoid overlaps, avoidable slowdowns, and above all, to maximize the ratio of time spent to executive quality. More specifically, I learned firsthand how the dfferent roles in an agency coordinate to complete a project.

Definitely. By having the opportunity to coordinate with other teams in the agency, I was able to more precisely define the boundaries of the various roles. The very serene environment also allowed me to engage with others and exchange views and opinions that improved my perspective on future work.

This training was my first experience in the agency and digital communication world. I learned how important teamwork is, being able to coordinate with other people and working well together to meet deadlines. What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
The world of social media as seen "from behind the scenes" was a completely new world that I had not yet delved into during my course of study. Every task I was given was a way for me to put myself out there. Crucial was always having direct feedback from colleagues who always advised me. Stimulating was approaching the editorial plans of some clients and thinking of innovative copy for posts for various socials. Certainly very challenging and not at all easy and obvious was the scouting of influencers.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
Knowing how to work as a team and coordinate with colleagues to deliver perfect service in every detail is crucial. There is no competition, but mutual help. Have deadlines and work "under pressure" to deliver a project on time, but be able to resolve and intervene promptly to improve or change at the last minute some detail that the client no longer appreciates or has simply decided to do differently.

This experience has definitely clarified for me what field I would like to work in once I finish my studies. Always be on the lookout for new stimuli, new ideas, look for the best communication strategy to promote a product while staying in step with current trends.

During this course I was able to learn mainly how best to develop a website. I learned about the importance of collaboration among the various teams in the agency, but more importantly, I had the opportunity to learn about all the various processes needed to carry out a good project.

I really appreciated the opportunity to be included in the agency's projects right away and that they were from different commodity sectors. What I enjoyed most, however, was the constant interaction with other colleagues. I also appreciated all the lessons provided by my tutor, who helped me better understand the world of Advertising Agency.

I was already aware that in the business world, organization was key, but here at the Agency I was able to see for myself what it means to be an organized team and how that can affect productivity and project success. During the internship, I honed my skills in organizing events, from planning to execution. All the activities that were assigned to me, I welcomed them with enthusiasm, always trying to give my contribution to all projects. Thanks to my team, who always made me feel welcomed and helped, I had the opportunity to experience different activities between social, account and press office, but the one I appreciated the most was the direct contact with influencers and content creators. Talking with them allowed me to better understand their approach, make strategic connections and manage effective collaborations for brands, thus enriching my experience in the industry.

During this internship I had the opportunity to hone several skills. Of all the activities I was able to follow within Spada Media Group, the one that brought me the most satisfaction was the organization of Year-end party of a very important agency client. Mainly I discovered the importance of knowing how to organize in order to meet certain deadlines-even tight deadlines-and still be able to do a good job. Then, most importantly, I realized how important it is to engage with colleagues and clients: the inability to meet in the office because of the pandemic forced me to interface with them almost exclusively through phone calls and video calls. Certainly very challenging and not at all easy and obvious was the scouting of influencers.

During the internship, I honed my skills in organizing events, from planning to execution. I enhanced communication skills by interfacing with many journalists for the press office and managing relationships with shopping malls for future vehicle displays. In addition, I have deepened my knowledge of different types of advertising and their operational dynamics through the support of the media team.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
The most rewarding experience was following the entire organizational process of a new car launch at the dealership. From the inspection phase to the management of gadgets, catering, set-up and entertainment for guests, I experienced every aspect of the event. This allowed me to concretely see the result of teamwork and hard work.

All the activities that were assigned to me, I welcomed them with enthusiasm, always trying to give my contribution to all projects. Thanks to my team, who always made me feel welcomed and helped, I had the opportunity to experience different activities between social, account and press office, but the one I appreciated the most was the direct contact with influencers and content creators. Talking with them allowed me to better understand their approach, make strategic connections and manage effective collaborations for brands, thus enriching my experience in the industry.

Working in a team was definitely challenging and educational as it gave me the opportunity to engage with different professional figures with different levels of experience and allowed me to understand the importance of coordination among colleagues. In addition, during this course, I was able to observe and understand the working dynamics of an agency and how it interacts with clients.

I have appreciated the variety of work I have been entrusted with, due in part to the diversity of clients and fields in which they operate. During this training, I learned so much. Team collaboration was one of the most important skills I developed. In addition, I learned how to manage and solve problems that arise on a daily basis more effectively. I also grew a lot technically, improving my skills through the challenges I faced along the way.
What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?
I really enjoyed working on concrete projects, especially when I could plan and create web pages for clients. It gave me great satisfaction to see the final result. Another thing I found really interesting was dealing with technical problems-I like having to investigate, figure out what's not working, and find a solution. It is challenging and it is the kind of work that motivates me the most.
What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?
One very important thing I have discovered is how important it is to be flexible. Before, I had no real sense of how much the job requires being able to adapt quickly to changes and new situations. It is a lesson I will not forget.
