University Internships

Spada Media Group gives college students the opportunity to undertake an internship within the company to get involved in the working world and discover all the dynamics that take place within a communications agency. The intern will be able to learn and develop skills across the board through shadowing the different teams operating in the agency. Depending on the type of internship that may be activated, e.g., in the area of graphic design, social media marketing, event organization and press office, etc., students will be able to acquire both technical skills (such as valuable lessons on social media management, secrets to effective press office work, organizing a distinctive event, and eye-catching graphics for outdoor advertising and on digital channels) and important soft skills, from the ability to work in a team to responsibility and autonomy in managing assigned projects.

The internship experience is, in fact, the first step to best meet future professional challenges. And Spada Media Group is available to support the student on this path. Spada Media Group currently has active conventions among the following Universities and Vocational Training Centers: University of Milan, University of Milan-Bicocca, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan, 24ORE Business School, Istituto Europeo di Design IED, Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti NABA, Istituto Superiore di Grafica Moda Design of Lecco and University of Pavia.

New agreements with other institutions can be activated to be evaluated with the company's human resources manager. Write to. [email protected]. There are several positive experiences of interns in the Agency: read some of our homes below!

What skills have you learned and improved in this training?

The opportunity to work on different clients and talk to journalists and third parties implemented my communication and mediation skills; but also having been able to work closely with the Social, Digital and Account area teams made me realize the importance of team working and how crucial each element of the group is to the smooth running of a project and the achievement of a high level result.

What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?

The experience I was most passionate about was the organization of an inauguration event for one of our clients, which made me understand the work behind an event and the importance of each member collaborating and contributing to the success of the event; also the digital editorial planning for our clients, meeting deadlines and fulfilling their requests, opened up a world to me about the Social area that I did not know before.

What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?

The seriousness and routine of the working world frightened me at the beginning of this internship, as I had never done work in the communications and agency fields, so I was afraid that I would not be able to meet the commitments and deadlines of the work. However, I have found how a collaborative environment, with colleagues who inspire and support you, can make a difference in giving your best. In addition, I chose Spada as the agency where I would do the internship because I wanted a "small" but dynamic environment in which I could be followed and touch the different areas that coexist within the world of communication, to learn as much as possible from everything and everyone: and Spada confirmed all my expectations.

Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?

I joined Spada as an intern in the Press Office area, but my continued shadowing of Accounts and Social has opened new horizons for me about the job positions I would like to fill: a mediation and customer contact role or social planning and management.

Thanks to this experience my skills in copy editing have improved considerably. In addition, I learned with great interest how to create the structure of a web page and how to carry out an effective press office service.

What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?

Every task that was assigned to me aroused interest and desire to learn. Completing the press office project for a multinational company, also participating in the final event, was truly stimulating. No less stimulating was the task of revising and inserting the elements that make up the page of a site. Starting from the basics is necessary to move alone.

What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?

The training internship allows you to clarify above all the environment in which you want to work. Thanks to this path, in fact, I confirmed the desire to pursue a career in a dynamic environment that caters to different sectors, so as to continually learn new knowledge and be able to have an all-round vision.

Course of study: Heritage & Digital Marketing Manager

What skills have you learned and improved in this training?

This training was my first experience in the agency and digital communication world. I learned how important teamwork is, being able to coordinate with other people and working well together to meet deadlines. Definitely an important learning experience that gave me the opportunity to understand what I want from my future.

What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?

The world of social media as seen "from behind the scenes" was a completely new world that I had not yet delved into during my course of study. Every task I was given was a way for me to put myself out there. Crucial was always having direct feedback from colleagues who always advised me. Stimulating was approaching the editorial plans of some clients and thinking of innovative copy for posts for various socials. Certainly very challenging and not at all easy and obvious was the scouting of influencers.

What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?

Knowing how to work as a team and coordinate with colleagues to deliver perfect service in every detail is crucial. There is no competition, but mutual help. Have deadlines and work "under pressure" to deliver a project on time, but be able to resolve and intervene promptly to improve or change at the last minute some detail that the client no longer appreciates or has simply decided to do differently.

Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?

This experience has definitely clarified for me what field I would like to work in once I finish my studies. Always be on the lookout for new stimuli, new ideas, look for the best communication strategy to promote a product while staying in step with current trends.

What skills have you learned and improved in this training?

During this course I was able to learn mainly how best to develop a website. I learned about the importance of collaboration among the various teams in the agency, but more importantly, I had the opportunity to learn about all the various processes needed to carry out a good project.

What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?

I really appreciated the opportunity to be included in the agency's projects right away and that they were from different commodity sectors. What I enjoyed most, however, was the constant interaction with other colleagues. I also appreciated all the lessons provided by my tutor, who helped me better understand the world of Advertising Agency.

What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?

I was already aware that in the business world, organization was key, but here at the Agency I was able to see for myself what it means to be an organized team and how that can affect productivity and project success. This is possible through clear communication among team members and careful planning of activities and deadlines.

Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?

Yes, the internship helped me to understand my strengths but more importantly to understand more clearly what kind of professional career I would like to pursue in the future.

What skills have you learned and improved in this training?

This path has allowed me to collaborate in a team composed of determined people, but in which positivity prevails. Thanks to my internship at Spada Media Group, I expanded my knowledge in the digital sector, collaborating with colleagues who were willing to support me in every need. I have, in addition, expanded my photography portfolio, making shoots and videos for different individuals and clients, thus improving my skills, and experimenting with new and interesting work in every respect.

What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?

Identifying one activity would be difficult, as I have enjoyed all the work done and assigned to me. Certainly, having had the opportunity to improve and increase my photographic and video skills was a unique opportunity that allowed me to meet several people in the industry. In addition to the actual work activities, I really enjoyed the team, as dealing with ambitious but serene colleagues allowed me to understand the true meaning of "team working."

What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?

I have, first of all, learned to work in an organized and solid team like Spada Media Group. In addition, I understood how to relate to clients and collaborators in a formal and professional manner, presenting and exhibiting projects. What skills have you learned and improved in this training?

Through the internship, I was able to consolidate my schooling skills and understand how to best apply them in the activities that followed. The jobs where I have been allowed more autonomy are certainly the ones where I have had the opportunity to grow, as I have been able to directly measure my abilities within concrete projects.

What experience/activity did you enjoy the most?

The activities that stimulated me the most are those where I had the opportunity to follow the project in its entirety: studying the most appropriate and functional solution for the client. Collaborating with a team to achieve a result has made me aware of the responsibility entrusted to me and given me greater motivation in achieving goals.

What have you discovered about the world of work that you didn't know before?

Did the internship allow you to better frame what you want to do in your future work?

The multitude of departments provided me with a more complete overview of the different facets of the communication world. By collaborating with the different sections, I have compensated their primary tasks and defined those that I intend to explore in the future.
